Rental Pilot Application

Pilots renting with Spectrum Airways must pass a flight review with one of our Flight Instructors prior to renting aircraft.

Flight Reviews consist of the following:

  1. 1.3 hours of PGI with a Spectrum Flight Instructor that will consist of an abbreviated ground portion of a PPL test.

  2. 1.5 hours dual flight with a Spectrum Airways Flight Instructor to conduct an abbreviated PPL flight test.

Pilots who intend on flying Spectrum Airways aircraft must demonstrate a proficient level of knowledge and skill on the desired aircraft through the flight review process.

Once completed, rental pilots (in addition to C.A.R.s 401.05) must maintain currency through Spectrum Airways on each aircraft type the pilot has been check out on. This consists of at least 30 min of flight time every 30 days for pilots with less than 150 hours total time, or 30 min of flight time every 60 days for pilots with more than 150 hours.

This application is not for prospective students. This application is for pilots who would like to rent Spectrum Airways aircraft for personal use. If you intend on flight training with Spectrum Airways you must apply into the Hobby Pilot Program or the Career Pilot Program
