The Cessna 152 is a two seat plane and is the plane that is typically used for entry level training. Its stable flight characteristics, reliability & durability make it the ideal choice for those starting out on their flight path. There are a total of three Cessna 152s in our fleet.
The Cessna 172 has very similar characteristics to the Cessna 152. The main difference is that the 172 is a four seat plane and generally has more space within the cabin. The 172 also cruises about 5-10 knots faster than the 152, and is used for single-engine instrument training. We currently have three Cessna 172R models, and two Cessna 172M models.
The Piper Warrior is a single-engine low wing plane that people enjoy flying because of the extra horsepower and increased overhead visibility. We have three Piper Warriors; one of which has a constant speed propeller. The aircraft are all IFR certified and equipped with a Garmin 430. All in all they are a great ride!
The Piper Seneca is a two-engine plane that is primarily used for multi engine training and certification. The Piper Seneca is also used for multi-engine instrument training (Multi IFR).
Featuring full motion about the axes it provides an excellent training platform to enhance the learning experience for all levels of flight training. Whether it’s gaining the feel of crosswind landings, performing single-engine overshoots in multi-engine aircraft or shooting approaches with Garmin 530/430 GPS technology, Spectrum Airways' Redbird simulator is ready to enhance your training environment today.
